Fondazione Centro San Raffaele (FCSR) is a non-profit entity whose mission is the enhancement of basic, translational and clinical research, the studies and the cultural exchanges in the field of biomedical sciences and the health management. Specific aims of FCSR are to expand the knowledge on the biology of diseases, to improve diagnostic techniques, to develop innovative therapeutic protocols and to advance health services. FCSR has developed, through a master agreement, a close and actual cooperation with IRCCS San Raffaele Hospital (OSR), one of the leading and outstanding scientific research institute in Italy. Thanks to the above mentioned master agreement Special Clause 10 has been recognised by the European Commission and can be applied to FP7 Grant Agreement. The master agreement between the Foundation and the IRCCS San Raffaele Hospital in fact provides the framework for the cooperation between the two institutions, with the goal of translating research results into medical practice.

OSR is a private Hospital, recognized by the Italian Ministry of Health as a Research Institute (IRCCS). It comprises both a highly specialized and qualified hospital with 1373 beds. The premises host the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University which provides specialized post graduate courses, medical specialties and international PhD programs.

OSR performs cutting-edge science and advances the knowledge of human diseases and novel therapies with the vision of translational research. It  conducts basic, translational and clinical research by interacting with one or more Clinical Departments. OSR can count on 12 Clinical Departments, 6 Research Divisions and 2 Research Centers.

Institute presentation

CeRMS/COES is an innovative Oncology University Center created following the “Comprehensive Cancer Center” model and it is situated in the San Giovanni Battista University Hospital, the greatest hospital of the Piemonte Region. The Center is composed of two main branches, the research one, CeRMS (Center for Experimental Research and Medical Studies) and the clinical one, COES (Haematology and Oncology Subalpine Centre), making possible translational research. The research activity of CeRMS is carried out by 80 researchers that come from different laboratories: Molecular Diagnosis and Oncology, Tumor Epidemiology, Hematology, Tumor Immunology, Immunogenetic, Biochemistry, Angiogenesis and Vascular Pathology.

The clinic division (COES) consists of 64 beds for day hospital and 18 ambulatories. It coordinates all the oncology activities of the San Giovanni Battista University Hospital and guarantees fast clinical treatments. Many clinical trials are carried out by COES.

The integration between these two branches permits the development of translational medicine programs in oncology and hematology and represents a peculiar feature of COES/CeRMS in the national biomedicine research panorama.

Institute presentation

NatiMab Therapeutics S.r.l. is a biotechnology company dedicated to the discovery, development and commercialization of human monoclonal antibodies for the therapeutic management of infectious diseases and cancer.

Our fully human antibodies have an advantage over other fully human antibodies because we identify the antibodies out of the B cell repertoire of patients who have acquired immunity to the target of interest. Thus, the antibodies have been selected and matured in the human body and are more likely to have a potent effect in fighting the infection or tumor.

NatiMab was founded in 2008 as a private company registered with the Torino commercial registry (09730260016). The corporate headquarters for NatiMab Therapeutics S.r.l. is located in Colleretto Giacosa (Torino) Italy.

NatiMab has focused its activities on the ENOA (α-Enolase) as a marker for pancreas adenocarcinoma, on the generation of diagnostic test, therapeutic antibodies and/or therapeutic vaccination for pancreas adenocarcinoma.

The assets developed by NatiMab may be licensed out to larger biotech or pharmaceutical companies or co-developed through strategic alliances with such companies.
